Good luck. Watched a friend do this to his wheels, and it took a bit of elbow grease and a few evenings to complete.

i used steel wool to take off the aircraft stripper, i heard the scotchbrite sponge/pads work as well.
i went from

to

I used aircraft stripper, went over the lips with 800 grit ==> 1000==> 1500 ==> 2000==> mother's polish w/ a powerball.
it's a pretty big pita, but for about 30$ in supplies, the outcome was pretty worth it.

I think that'll take a good amount of time because of the mesh spoke design. But these are your spare project wheels, so it's not like you're in a real rush to get them refinished and mounted. It just depends on how much time you're willing to invest (or spend). I know I'd be too lazy to re-do the face. Haha.

taping it off took the longest. and i had to take quite a few brakes. idk if anyone knows this. but those fumes will make you super fricking dizzy if you try to do all the wheels at once.

thanx for the kind words guys! im super proud of the wheels
im gunna try and have better pix taken
