Default Headlight Clear Protector or Clear Coat Paint

Has anyone used these clear headlight clear tint to protect the headlights? If yes, what's your result?

http://www.xpel.com/

And has anyone sprayed paint clear coat on the headlights? Does it last?

Thanks.

What years are your car? None of mine have glass headlights and my cars range from 1994-2010. Heck, even the oldest Lexus didn't have it either. I see them fogged up from age all the time in my area

FYI, glass is pretty much yellowing/fog resistant so this painting process obviously doesn't apply to it

All Lexus that I saw have plastic headlights, including the 1992 and newer. They all get fogged up with age, just like wrinkles on our foreheads.

Do you have some pictures of your clear coated headlights? I've been tempted to do that as well.

Protect your Lexus front end with clear mask, 3M product. These guys are good and you can order just the headlight protection.

I just picked up my wifes RX and ordered a complete protection kit, bumper, hood, fenders, roof, a pillars, they threw in headlight protection and door edge guards and a complete installation kit and DVD

I used their product on my 2010 Mini Cooper and it is AWESOME!!!!!! No rock chips at all.

Very clear, you won't even know it is on there

Use a paint protection film, never heard of anyone painting with clear coat. That's a disaster waiting to happen. Paint protection film can be removed and re applied, paint, good luck! How bout that, sanding the orange peel out!!!

Seriously go to http://www.clearmask.com and do it right the first time.

It's a Lexus, not gremlin!

Orange peel is common no matter how you paint bud. Just look at any car in the world sold today that is painted conventionally, they all suck. Just because you haven't tried it doesn't mean it doesn't work. In the long run, its cheaper than buying the film since that stuff scratches and scuffs like no other. I'd rather have something I can polish than have to risk burning since plastic has such a low melting point
