Well I'd like help identifying exactly what this is and can it be fixed without having to be repainted. Also, on the interior pics, the white "speckles" are actually dried up wax from when my car was polished after being painted. What would be the best way to get that off. Its been there for awhile and nothing I have tried so far has gotten it off. On to the pics:

That spot on the roof would be your clear coat peeling off. I think the only way to take that off is to get it repainted. I think but not too sure.

The top pic is most likely etching from either bird droppings or tree sap that ate into your finish/coat. Depending on how bad it is you may be able to polish it to make it less noticeable but unfortunately there is not much you can do other then a respray. I would definitely put a good wax on top of that area to prevent any further damage.

The dried wax should come up with any number of cleaners like a grease fighting soap, it may take a little elbow work. Try rubbing alcohol/water and go over the wax.

You said the car was painted. Did they paint the roof where the clear is failing?

Looks like they did a pretty poor job. They should fix it.

I took a dry eraser to the plastic piece that runs along the door sill. I think it got rid of the dried wax but it left the piece all hazy. I tried adding some vinyl protectant to it that I had laying around but its still dried and hazy looking. Whats a good product to bring it back to black.

i always recommend Chemical Guys Fade 2 Black for any plastic/vinyl pieces you want deep black.
