Default Wood Trim Looking Sad

My wood center console trim is looking pretty scratched up right now. What can I do to take out those nasty swirls and make it feel nice again?

If I remember correctly, some people use Plexus.

you can always use the same polishes you would use on your cars paint as the wood trim is clear coated. I actually have done this before and it turns out great.

Any pictures of it? A light polish like Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish should work for you if it has a clear coat on it.

It's not in awful shape just got swirl marks and feels like the outside of a car that hasn't been clay bar'd. How should I apply the polish? With a DA Polisher?

i DA'ed mine but take them out of the car and I took all of the button and switches out too. If you dont want to do this, just do it by hand.

How do you remove the wood trim?

Also can you remove the trim from the doors too?

Can I use my buffer on lowest setting and use a finishing pad for this job with the blackfire enhancing polish?

Hey Guys!

Theres a huge lack of information on this topic but I think I have gotten a good feel for this since I just did it now.

1. I removed the trim for the car and washed it with a drop of dawn and water using a squirt gun.

2. I then applied the polish to my pad and start buffing with my DA. It was my first time using my DA and I was a little nervous so I stopped every minute to check if I did damage. Don't be afraid to crank up your DA if you aren't getting the proper results. I used a cutting pad by the way!

3. I sprayed the trim again with water and soap and wiped the polish off. Then I took wax and put wax carefully with my finger on the trim.

4. I bought an aerotect clearbra for the console to protect it forever!

Now I am on the waxing part but looks a lot better than before...I could have buffed a little more but I was using a cutting pad and heard this trim has only a thin layer of clearcoat.
