Default Need Help! How do I get this off my car?

Hello, I parked my IS under a tree last week and found out a few days ago that there's tree seeds and goo all over the car...=( how do I get them off? please see pictures below. I am guessing some of them are from the seeds baked onto the clear coat and the rest is tree goo. I tried using car wash but of no avail...

I managed to get some of them off with clay bar but the area is not shiny anymore. How do i make the area shiny again? Thanks in advance!

No, I haven't. Which one do you recommend? A friend of mine told me to use rubbing alcohol. which one would do less damage to the paint?

Thanks.

Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) should dissolve that sap and remove it. If there are dull spots under it then you will need to clay&polish. IPA can be used mixed 50-50 with water or straight from the bottle. I'd suggest wetting a towel with the IPA mixture and laying it on the paint for 4-5 minutes keeping it wet to dissolve the sap. Trying to rub the crud off with pressure will only result in scratches. IPA will remove your wax or sealant as well so you will need to re-wax in any event. If you need to polish you can try using Meg's Ultimate Compound with a foam pad but hand polishing the whole car is tedious.

Another, perhaps a better, alternative is to find a professional detailer.
