Thumbs up

I would also throw in 3M's Perfect It show car wax. I have used this product for many different finishes, both light and dark, and it never disappoints. It has a great durability, is very easy to apply, easy to buff to a fantastic shine (either with a buffer or by hand, I have done both and gotten great results), and is not terribly expensive at about $10 a bottle. My clients used to marvel at the "pop" that one well applied coat would give, and a second coat just improved on it.

Wait for a sale from our vendors at Proper Auto Care for 10%off and $49.99 minimum for free shipping and get a few bottles and a few applicators. You'll be set for a very long time that way.

I managed to clear out Harbor Freight while they had it. Down to my last bottle sadly

I need this stuff now because WINTER IS COMING soon. I don't want to be outside in the garage applying wax in 30 degree weather.

I have heard some people finding collinite from some auto, boat supply stores but it is rare that places stock it. I would just order it from somewhere, maybe order get a few things with the collinite in order to save on shipping.

I have been using Griot's products for more than 5 years...great stuff. They have everything you need and more. Products work well together and are easy to use...they even have a random orbital that is made just for them. Check them out.. http://www.griotsgarage.com.

Considering that he would probably want it to last the winter, I'd pass on your suggestion if it is the "Concours" version. That stuff lasted about 3 weeks before it died completely. I put it in the same category as Pinnacle Souveran and Wolfgang Fuzion - show waxes

Just wanted to also add in the Chemical Guys XXX Hard Core Paste Wax which is another top quality wax that has a reasonable price tag. Best of all it's on sale through 10/31 for only $18.74. One jar should get you at least 15+ applications depending on the size of the vehicle.
