Default Airbrush for beginners: Any tips?

I have heard that you can airbrush things like rock chips (after filled with bondo and sanded down) and other car blemishes. I am really interested in learning this skill.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? For example, what are some good airbrushes to buy along with other tools or equipment needed to get the job done.

I hope someone knows what I'm talking about because it is not a common practice from what I understand because of the costs and skill involved (relative to regular touch up paint with a brush).
