Default What do I need to clean non-leather interior?

I have already cleaned the leather seats, and the wood I just wiped it so no issues there. However the part that I'm talking about is the material that covers the glove box or most of the front dash for instance, its a harder material than the leather. Is it vinyl? If it is/not what do you guys do to clean this part? So far ive been soaking a cloth with water and just vigorously rubbing it but its giving decent results, not as good as I would like it to be.

Thanks

To keep it simple....one of the best interior cleaners I have used is the Autoglym Interior Shampoo....available in either a 16oz. sprayer bottle or in gallons (Autoglym Interior Cleaner in gallons). Basically, you can either use it straight out or dilute it up to 1:10 with water.

I use it on all surfaces....plastics, vinyl, or any other surface on the car's interior. Just spray it on, let it sit there for 2-3 minutes and agitate the area with some sort of soft interior brush or sponge. It's got a great smell and is easily one of the best interior cleaners around. Lots of guys will agree on that.

This won't be the cheapest option, but certainly one of the best. You can also do away with an APC (all purpose cleaner) which is available through many companies (303, Adam's, Meguiar's, and so forth).

Now that you mention it, does it work on carpet too? Where do you buy Autoglym from?
