Dawn soap acts as either 1. A lubricant for clay bar or 2. A degreaser to remove wax, etc. Its bad for your car when you use it to wash your car without waxing it. Without using the wax as a protectant, dawn soap leaves your car vulnurable to the elements and rocks, etc.

I feel you man. Detailing is such a tedious event. I can't remember the last time I did a "quick" detail. I have spent days on them just to get the perfect shine. Its exhausting. I make it a point to not do it more than 2 times a year just because everytime I do it, my arms get sore from using the porter cable and my back aches too from bending over. But nonetheless you have some quality work there and deserve a beer or two
