This year I had the pleasure of taking my family to Amelia Island for the concours event. I had two cars that competed, both winning best in class, which was very cool. More importantly I ran into a bunch of clients, friends, and enjoyed the with my family while looking at my favorite cars of all time: Duesenbergs. With out further ado, here are some of the pics I took.
Dale Earnhardt's Monte Carlo Stock car (back when it was Winston Cup and the car's where different).

One of my favorites from the show, a Tucker Torpedo. Those who don't know the story of this car and the man behind it should head to google.

And some more Duesenbergs to finish off the show.

And finally the amazing engine compartment of the Duesenberg SSJ Supercharged. This engine, in the 1930's produced 320 horsepower!!!! At a time when most car's made less than 40 horsepower and a HOTROD Ford V8 was less than 100 horsepower, this car trumped all. It also had a top seed over 150 miles per hour, when the average car of the time might hit 70. It was the Bugatti Veryon of it's time.

Here is the outside of this amazing piece of art (I believe it won best in show)
