Default Pen style touch-up paint alternative

I bought an OEM touch-up pen that has the clear coat tip. I found it messy and the lack of a finer tip makes it harder to put down a clean drop, big or small, as required by the size of the stone chip.

I called a few sponsors of this site to order touch-up paint that comes in small bottles to no avail.

Does anyone have this problem? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

I was going to recommend the same thing. This is the best technique I have used.

Agreed. Plastic toothpicks tend to work even better, at least IME, because they won't soak in the paint.

Nice thread , even I was never able to apply properly the touch up paint that I bought on those stone chips. Tooth pick seems like a very nice idea. Will do it next time. Thanks guys.

There used to be a company called Autovisuals that sold paint pens that were very good. I have a few and have used them over the years with some success but I just went to purchase new pens for my new GX and found they are out of business. I found this company and just bought the pens to match my paint. So far the they are good but expensive. http://www.paintscratch.com/
Griots Garage also sells mico brushes for paint touch-up, I have some but have not used them yet. They are basically plactic sticks with a small pad/brush tip.
Hope that helps.

This (which I want to try), or look at the Langka kit.
