Bird poop'd
Hey guys I washed my car and went to the diner with my car to enjoy my car's beauty on a hot summers day when I came out I've noticed a bird poop on. So I went back home to clean it off and by the time I did it. It was to late, it burned through my clear coat. Does anyone know what I could do to fix this?

I don't think it went through your clear but it did etch the paint. This happened to me with saltwater dripping on my car all day on the same spot in the underground garage at work.
When I got home and washed off the salty residue a spot just like that was left on my roof. The best way to describe it was like a chalkboard. QD did not do anything to it. I used some scratch X 2.0 on it and within 2 applications and passionate rubbing, the etching was gone. Nice shiny clear like nothing ever happened. Put back a coat of sealer on it and you could never tell it was there.
It looks bad now but trust me it will be ok. I didn't even need to break out the buffer to fix it...

Meguiar's Ultimate Compound or Meguiar's ScratchX2.0 should remove it. Apply a little to a towel or applicator and rub into the paint repeatdely until it starts to dry, the buff off.

Benbendx, please see the thread called Bird Droppings ---Ask the Experts. I started the thread a few weeks ago for the same problem. Ultimately, I used Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 and it solved the problem. However, there is a lot of great information on that that thread. You will not only enjoy reading it, but you can ultimately solve the problem.
