what you want to do is to make sure your tire is clean of all the dirt, grime, old dressing.

use something like Adam's All Purpose Cleaner , inexpensive and effective.

use a brush or towel to get all the gunk off.

on the clean tire apply Adam's Super VRT (or your favorite dressing) and you will have some nicely dressed tires.

I highly recommend Adams Super VRT

water based, leaves your tires black with a slight shine, smells nice, and it doesnt sling if you apply it with a sponge

I apply it with a blue applicator sponge from Detailers Domain
