Even Lambo's from the factory come with holograms in the paint. Most likely your Lexus has holograms in it. I would be polishing that paint to remove all imperfections and to get that maximum gloss if I were you.

Polishing is a very important process to remove imperfections from the paint and like was said above use a sealant/wax afterwards to protect the paint from future contamination.

no

polishes contain abrasives to level the paint and removes swirls etc

waxes are used to protect the polished paint afterwards. The oils in waxes are more durable than the carrier oils in polishes which are just there to provide lubrication for the abrasives to do their job.

if you were to wax then use a polish, you'd take off the wax you just put on.
