Yes. If you are using Carnauba, it may be a good idea to do it at least once a month in this heat.

Just make sure you are careful and don't make any abrasions in the paint. i.e. surface must be clean, microfiber pads must be clean. Don't press too hard.

There's no harm in doing so but you'd want to claybar every couple of months as well.

I wax (sealant) every quarter and weekly I wash and apply Ultimate Quick Wax on the whole car, glass trim as well as the paint. UQW refreshes the "just waxed" look and slickness and it is a wipe/on-wipe/off (wowo) product that only takes about 15 minutes to do.

It doesn't really matter, liquid or paste, it's an ongoing debate regarding which one's superior. You could try going the "wax every other week and touch up in between using a quick detailer" route. I use Mequiar's Quik Detailer in between waxing, try that instead, your wax supply will last longer.

As to the form of the wax, some prefer liquid some prefer paste. It really doesn't make any difference. Both leave the same protection. Liquid is easier to apply with a machine.

You need to ask yourself why you are planning on waxing weekly. Obviously the wax wont wear away in a week so I'd speculate it's for appearance purposes. That's why using a gloss enhancer, product like UQD or UQW, weekly would be an easier approach. IMHO, UQD is ideal for removing light dust and fingerprints but I find UQW leaves a more reflective and slicker surface and hence dirt is less able to bond. This results in easier washing week-to-week.

Often times, depending on how much I use my personal vehicles (which are garaged), I'll be able to skip a weekly wash entirely and just use UQD to clean off the dust and then I'll follow with UQW. I'll often use UQD on a daily basis too. Both apply & remove inside of 15 minutes. Finally, UQW eliminates the need for RainX and an exterior vinyl trim product. It leaves a nice sheen, even on textured vinyl, and it doesn't run down the side of the vehicle in the rain like so many vinyl protectants do.

I go through a lot of these products so I buy in bulk. I buy M135 Synthetic SprayDetailer (UQD) and D156 X-Press Spray Wax (UQW) in gallon jugs. BTW, If you do choose to go this route I can also recommend the Meguiars bottles and sprayers. They are excellent.

Here are a few gallon sized products I use:

•Cleaners & Degreasers
D101 - All Purpose Cleaner (1:4 and a 1:10 solution)
D108 - Super Degreaser (1:4 and a 1:10 solution)
D120 - Glass Cleaner Concentrate (1:10 solution)

•Car Wash
D110 - Hyperwash
or
D111 - Shampoo Plus (I use this in the pressure washer)

•QD & QW
M135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer (a.k.a. UQD)
D156 - X-Press Spray Wax (a.k.a. UQW)
D155 - Last Touch Spray Detailer (1:2 dilution for claying)

Finally, some of the vendors here who support this forum sell these products at a discount, occasionally also with a free shipping offer.

Totally fine. About twice a summer I completely go ***** out on my 93 LS Its a 2 day project for me I tape everything off Clay bar the car twice, I use a 2 step polishing method using only select products and a Porter cable 6" polisher and a 3" porter cable polisher, Then I wax it. using the polishers. I leave the wax on overnight, then remove the wax. I only use products from Griots Garage. I found their product are superior to everybody elses. I would wax my car more but I only drive it 3 months a yr in the summer.. Minnesota is gay like that
