Default Vinyl Roof Cleaning?

So after browsing a few forums and googling, I still have not found a good answer and figured this would be the best place.

Almost 2 years ago I had the roof of my car wrapped in a black gloss vinyl. Up until this past winter it looked great. Now its starting to look flat and after a wash and cleaning the roof it still looks flat. Any way to help get the gloss look back? Sorry im new to the whole detailing thing.

I'd use Meguiar's Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner (M39) and follow with either their vinyl protection product, Ultimate Protectant, or I think I'd try using Ultimate Quik Wax (a synthetic sealant).

I have stopped using dedicated vinyl protectors on exterior vinyl after I've started using UQW. This one product works on glass, paint and vinyl (smooth or textured) and looks great. No streaking and it is a wipe-on/wipe-off product so it's fast and easy to use. It also doesn't run off in the rain like some vinyl protection products do. I can cover a whole SUV in under 15 minutes.

I use so much of the UQW and UQD that I buy it in the gallon jugs. The UQW is in the Detailer Line and is called X-Press Spray Wax (D15601). The UQD is available in the Pro line and is called Synthetic Spray Detailer (M13501). When vendors offer free shipping this is a really good value. Some of our vendors carry these products and offer a Club Lexus discount.

The dull, faded appearance is because the vinyl is drying out. I would recommend a Raggtop Vinyl Top Care Kit. This kit includes a ph balanced cleaner designed specifically for vinyl and fabric tops, along with the vinyl protectant to restore the look and also provide UV protection.

Ultraviolet = UV. If vinyl/plastic/rubber surfaces have no UV protection, they will crack, fade, and dry out over time.
