Finally did my headlights (2GS)

Wetsanding them produces better results then just polishing. I can't even make much difference in mine when I just polish them with PlasticX or IP. Wetsanding is a pain and time consuming to do it properly but it is worth it and they look almost new when done. They last about 3-4 months looking new, then you will start to notice them getting a little duller and duller after that. Waxing/Sealing them helps them look new a little longer. I wet sand my headlights every year or so.
For the lights to last looking good longer I may try Opti-Coat which is basically to be a semi permanent sealant that lasts several years, kind of like a extra layer of clearcoat. I have read using the spray clearcoats you buy at auto stores is not a good idea to use on headlights.

Interesting. Although I never felt comfortable ordering those kits whether it be 3M or megs. Although I can't say I have the ***** to do the wetsanding on them either. I have a PC buffer and all the stuff to detail, just not sure about my own skills on wetsanding. Either way its a big improvement from your before pic.
