Default I made a DIY video for curb rash repair.

I was cleaning my car when I found some noticeable curb rash on my wheel. There was a big one and there was a small one. I filmed myself working on the small one just to give people an idea of how they could fix curb rash if they feel like they can. Luckily my rash wasn't too deep so it wouldn't have produced an obvious wavy looking finish. Anyways, here it is!

very nice video, same procedures i use also. but for more bigger curb rashes, a dremel is needed.

Yep! NICELY DONE! and Celsior, I agree with you-I had to use the dremel for the GS3 wheels I picked up from the junk yard...

I am guessing this only works on polished lips? How do people DIY repair gunmetal wheels?

Yeah you just kind of assume. Yesterday I went to take some photos about 2 hours away from where I live and I found a gash on the same wheel. I don't know if I'll be able to repair it myself. Looks like something sharp cut into the lip. This one will definitely need some sort of filling. Not sure how to DIY this one lol.

I would say that it only works on polished lips. I wouldn't try doing this on anything anodized or clear coated. You would definitely notice a difference in finish. As for gunmetal wheels, I would just try to sand the rash and try to blend some color in - assuming you're able to find a paint match.

Here is another rash, much larger, from the same wheel. I also repaired this one the same day I filmed myself repairing the smaller one.
