Question How do you protect your Window rubber Seal

Hi All,
I have an issue with my '08 IS250 Window seal.
When i open my driver or passenger window i hear a sound like a glass stuck/glued to rubber/seal.

What kind of Protectant you use to apply to window seal to keep it nice and smooth ?
(i have 303 aerospace protectant can i use it on this rubber?)

Basically i don't want my window to be sticky to this rubber.

Thank you.

I've used a couple products at seem to protect well. The most current is Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant. This product dries and is not greasy. The product has UV protection and is long lasting.

The other product I've used for years with good results is Meguiar's Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner (M40).

Here is an image of my 20 year old MR2 trim that has been treated with M40 exclusively. It still looks like new.

clean it with some APC. i use meg's apc+ to clean the rubber. then cover it with 303 aerospace.

i do it to my rubber seals every 3 months i'd say and they are still soft, pliable and not sticky.

You get my first post in over 2 months

Anyway, I'd suggest a product like 1Z Gummi Pflege. Its specifically designed for the window seals in our cars. I do an application once every 6 months and I have had my bottle for quite some time now. Our vendors here carry it

Kasim,

I had the dealer replace my drivers side seal, as I had the same exact sticky issue. A few months later it was exactly the same. I have used 303 in the channel, but I does not fix it 100% I HATE that initial CRACK sound as the glass releases from the rubber. Makes me feel like the it's also making the regulator work a little harder as well. Not really sure what to try next. People have said here that the sonus rubber spray seems to work well. have not tried it yet though. Ya know, what if we just used some thin felt tape in the sticky area. I think actually used some fuzzy loop (velcro tape) all around their outer seals. Don't know how inconspicuous it looks though. But it may do the trick in that small area..
