Default What's NEW at Autogeek! - September 2011

We search the world for the latest and greatest products that make caring for your vehicle easier and more enjoyable. Whether it's a new way to clean your carpets, or simply a better applicator to apply your favorite carnauba wax, we're always on the look out for the best products available.

Migliore Luxury Car Care

We're very excited to bring yet another premium line of car care products to the Autogeek store. The newest edition to the Autogeek store is Migliore, a small car care company founded on quality and passion for detailing. Migliore isn't just any car care company, the founder is Don Havourd, a professional detail and an avid car care enthusiast. Don originally started with a passion for detailing, but his passion has lead to researching and developing world class car care products. It didn't take long for the word to spread about Migliore and their hand-poured carnauba waxes.

303 Speed Detailer

303 Products manufactures some of the most innovative products in the surface care industry. Known for their Aerospace Protectant, a product that's a favorite among professional detailers for its flexibly and excellent performance, is known world wide as the last vinyl, rubber, and plastic protectant you will ever use. 303 only develops products that are easy to use in their intended use. Rest assured that when you grab a bottle of any product manufactured by 303, you're only getting the best.

With their newest product, Speed Detailer, it appears that this bold mission statement hasn't changed. Speed Detailer keeps paint and metal looking new and protected. It features a unique dust-repellant formula that's easy on, easy off, and provides months of protection. Like other products that 303 manufactures, it's incredibly flexible and can be used on a variety of surfaces including glass, fiberglass, paint, plexiglass, and other plastics. Not only does 303 Speed Detailer perform exceptionally well, it's also a great value at only $12.99 for a 32oz.

CarPro Tar X Tar & Adhesive Remover

Does a new CarPro product really need any special introduction? Absolutely not, because when the people at CarPro announce a new product, nobody questions whether or not it will perform. With the introduction of Tar X, CarPro has introduced yet another product that will change the way you look at car care.

Tar X is made of natural solvents extracted from orange peels. Tar X is designed to safely remove grease, tar, insects, asphalt, tire marks, adhesive, and other stubborn contaminants. Tar X is free of harsh chemical solvents that are harmful to you, or the environment. With its high viscosity formula, it clings to the surface longer allowing the natural solvents to break down nasty road film, bugs, and tar. Spray, let it sit, and wipe off. Tar X is another product manufactured by CarPro that sets the standard in each respective category.

Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer

Meguiar's has been around for more than 100 years. They are known, respected, and trusted world-wide for developing and manufacturing products that work exceptionally well. Meguiar's has a product available for every square inch of your vehicle, inside and out. Do you own a boat too? No problem, as Meguiar's has a complete line of marine car products. Meguiar's is the giant in the car care industry that never sleeps. They're continuously researching, developing, and manufacturing products that leave others in the business going back to the drawing board.

Ultimate Black is the newest edition to the Meguiar's line of car care products. Ultimate Black is the solution that you've been looking for if your vehicle has any faded or dull plastic trim. It works on both exterior and interior black or gray plastics, bringing them back to life and keeping them protected for months to come. Restore the color to neglected trim with Meguiar's Ultimate Black.

Gold Wax Finger Pockets

In my opinion, you can never have too many wax applicators. We're always looking for the ultimate solution to waxing all those tight, hard to reach areas of your vehicle. Our new Gold Wax Finger Pockets just might be the solution that you've been looking for. Made of super soft foam that's durable and easy to clean, you can now apply your favorite wax or sealant to all those pesky, hard to reach spots including in between wheel spokes and behind door handles.

Be sure to check out the What's New page as we're always updating it with the latest and greatest products!

That Tar-X seems really interesting.

Can you guys provide any info on how it compares to Tardis (a popular overseas product)?

Is it basically like IronX where you spray the car down and wait for the chemicals to break down the road tar or is additional aggitation needed to fully remove the tar?

Next time I head overseas for a couple days I'll test that product and compare the two.

Directions:

1. Shake well. Spray Tar X on dry surface.
2. Let Tar X react on surface for 1~2 min. or brush/agitate with sponge pad . (spray some TarX on the sponge as well)
3. Rinse thoroughly with a power washer or flowing water.

One more question about that Tar X, Nick. Is it just like Iron X or are they totally different types of products? Seems like they'd perform the same task, correct? Or am I way off? Haha.

Sorry kind of new to it all and trying to learn.

IronX reacts with Iron particles. You know.... those annoying orange looking rust spots that get embedded into the paint over time. They are especially visible on white and lighter colored cars. IronX does nothing for tar. This product (TarX) addresses that issue and is a different chemical that reacts with tar particles.

Personally I have been using the 3M general adhesive remover for tar spots for along time with great success, but I might give this a try in the future.

That's exactly what I was thinking, but just wanted to ask and be 100% sure. Thanks.
