Unhappy help....anyone?

whats up everyone? ever since i purchased my LS there has been small clear, tree sap like dots on the windshield. i tried washing it off but it stays there. its really irritating because when the sun shines on it, it reduces visibility. is there any way to remove this? or do i have to purchase another windshield? any help is appreciated. thanks

Lets start with the cheapest and easiest: Please note that many of these solutions will strip wax from your finish.)

A 50-50 solution of distilled white vinegar and water.

WD-40

Mineral spirits

Rubbing alcohol, anhydrous rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol.

Meguiar's Gold Class Bug & Tar Remover or Turtle Wax Bug & Tar remover

A citrus based cleaner like Xenit.

Clay Bar Kit (Mothers or Clay Magic)

Be sure to wash your windshield well after these treatments.

Now it gets weird...

Dangerous: A single edge razor blade

Strange: A hand-held steamer (Been known to work!)

Good luck!

Ah, one I can help with! Tree sap on the windshield is easy. Here is a sure-fire safe fix:

TOOLS:
* Microwave
* Cup of water
* Red-Devil or other brand of single-edge flat razor-blade knife (.99 cents at Target or Home Depot)

1) Mircowave a large cup of water
2) slowly pour the water over the sap until sap to soften and semi-melt
3) with windshield still wet, gentry slide the razor blade up and down to remove sap keepting the blade near horizontal to the windshield.
4) When blade becomes too gummed up with sap, change blade

That's it. Sap on a windshield is an easy 5 minutes job.

Good luck!
