Exclamation Bumper has way too many scratches.. Need advice

I was running late to class earlier this morning and managed to park too close to a white wall in front of me. End result, multiple scratches with white paint marks on them. Haven't gotten to trying to wash it off yet, as I'll be washing my car tonight, but I doubt that is going to do me any good.

My question is would it be able to come off by hand.. using 2k grit, add compound, wax, then polish? What brand compound would you recommend I'd use? Thanks

It really depends on how deep the scratches are. I generally use Meguiars Ultimate Compound for lighter scratches. Sometimes I'll start off with a heavier rubbing compound, move up to a polishing compound, and then finish off with the Ultimate Compound.

As far as heavy duty compounds, I used some cheap Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound and Polishing Compound found at Walmart or Autozone. It's hard to get good stuff at retail stores, but these have worked well for me.

clay bar and ultimate polish with DA. Ultimate compound if polish doesn't work.
Before 2k sand paper, I'd start with least aggressive method

Technically we cannot tell for sure. I've found in some cases that those marks will come out and little will be left other than a small hole that still contains paint inside so it is not noticeable

This is the best advice in my opinion. If you are unable to access a DA polisher, Ultimate Compound is still very effective by hand but you will need to follow up with a finer polish to remove any markings left by UC

before you use sandpaper use wax and grease remover or thinners to remove any paint in the scratches

I think you might mean dr. COLORchip. I've used it and it is awesome! It may be just what the OP needs.
