i wetsanded my foglight and now there just fogged up

I wanted to make my fogs look new so i tried wet-sanding it and now there not getting clearer the lens feels rough as oppose to a smooth feeling like glass any help on how to fix this oh i don;t have a buffing pad so am doing this by hand let me know thanks for the help

if you can't remove the lenses then make sure you tape up around them to protect the paint
some ppl like to start with 800 and wetsand their way up to 3000
I've had success with 1500, then 2500, then buffing with a wheel on a drill (megs kit is $20 at Walmart)
If you plan on coating it with something like Cquartz, or spar varnish and mineral spirits, then you can skip the buffing part after 3000. This will give the coating something to grab onto and it will self level and feel smooth as if you did buff it. I buffed and didn't coat since rock chips will just happen again.
