i drink in my car, but I dont eat because you can hardly ever enjoy food while doing something else. I have to sit down at a table to enjoy the food. drinks are okay.

Never. No soda or coffee, not even bottled water (water condensation builds up on the outside of the bottle). All take-out food is eaten elsewhere. My car is just for transport.

Yea, isn't that what the cup holders are for ?
I never eat in my Lexus but occasionally drink in it.
I'm very reluctant to let others eat in my car as I'd often be cleaning empty water bottles out of my car and find cookie crumbs all over my carpet, argh!

Regarding cupholders though... I have a 2000 ES, overall the car is great, but the cupholders are absolutely worthless. They're really shallow and can easily cause tall drinks (like a Venti from Starbucks) to tip over and spill. This is why I often hold the drink steady with my right hand while I drive.

I only eat "finger foods" in my car, aka stuff I can just grab out of my purse and stick it in my mouth. Drinks must have closed tops and only I can drink them! I don't trust anyone else.

starbucks is ok, but passengers only get one shot @ all other ingestibles (of any variety) in my car. Most of my passengers passenge nicely and have never spilled ... save my mum

My rules about ingestibles came from my last car where i said 'ok' to everything and i remember one time i was cleaning latte out of my sterio system cos some1 left their unclosed coffee on top of the dash and then knocked it off (down the front of the sterio/climate control/etc) when they were trying to remove it.

would i let some1 pee in a bag in my back seat? um, under very extreme conditions i guess, such as ... in the gumball ralley, late for something retardely important (disarming a bomb maybe?), or out running cops would probably all meet the criteria.
