Swirl mark remover
I intend to use the zaino system with my lexus. I have a lot of swirls and small scratches in my paint since I bought it 1 year old. I was wondering if the Zaino z-pc will be a good one for the swirls or is Meguiars #2 Fine-cut Cleaner a better option. Which is easier to use and which does the better job?

I can't really speak for thos products because they are really not talked about much. You should look into the Meguires M105/205 combo.... it's all you need for a perfect finish. One is a aggressive cut compound and one is a fine polish. Used together they produce amazing results.
Another line that I may suggest is by Menzerna. I personally use Menzerna, even though it's not exactly cheap, it's an amazing line of polishes. Menz SIP (Super intensive polish). Super Finish, and Power Finish are all amazing and will give you TOP level results.

I've just finished my 5th Lexus detail using the newly released Meguiar's 5' Micro-Fiber pads and their 300/301 polishes. The paint came out flawless and the pads are twice as fast at achieving the results as the foam I was using. If you have a DA polisher, I'd highly suggest trying the 5" microfiber kit. I absolutely love this kit and the time saved is worth the price of the kit several times over, IMHO.
To apply the Zaino you should do an IPA wipedown after the final polishing. I'd suggest a 5% IPA solution. Check the bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol for its concentration as it varies from brand to brand. You could have anywhere from a 50% to a 70% solution in the bottle. You want something in the order of 5% to do the IPA wipedown to clean off any residual oils for Zaino to adhere properly..

I agree, Menzerna listed above or Scholl Concepts S17+. Sounds like jfelbab has had great results from the new Megs micro-fiber system too, so there are three top choices that i would recommend.

Contact them here:

or email Jane at Spautopia:

I believe Scholl themselves also may sell to Overseas clients:

Create an account, but i think you will have to email them re shipping charges, as the order i placed would go no further than the 'choose shipping' page.

diminishing abrasives seem to finish down better on soft lexus paint, especially black
Megs mf pads are pretty aggressive. If you want to go that route, I'd suggest waiting for the new Optimum mf pads coming out in Nov.. They don't seem to have the same issues with pad separation and can be used on rotaries...
