Available at stores such as WalMart, O'Reilly's, AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts or from a Club Lexus vendor, http://www.detailedimage.com/Meguiar...tion-Kit-P591/ the heavy duty headlight restoration kit has everything you need except a electric/battery drill to restore headlights.

Easy to use and plenty for two cars.

PS - you'll need some tape to mask off around the headlights, need to protect the paint during the process. The process is easy, quick and painless. Easily done in your spare time.

Since your car is not that old try using a less aggressive method first like one of those headlight cleaning kits/liquids or just a regular polish. If that does not make them look brand new then you will need to wetsand. If your headlights don't look too bad then you can start out with 2000 or even 1500 grit and then finish with 2000 grit. Once you are done with 2000 grit you will need to polish the lights with a compound/polish to get the sanding marks out. Go on youtube to look for the proper ways to wet sand as it will be difficult to explain fully. A Porter Cable will make the polishing much easier but you can do it by hand, 3M makes a good polish/compound. If you don't polish after 2000 grit your headlights are going to look opaque/foggy when they dry.

Be very carefull with 1000. For beginners I wouldn't recommend below 2000 otherwise it takes you weeks to remove the marks with a polish.

Sanding them down means you are removing the factory UV coating off of them. I wouldn't even touch sandpaper unless there's clearcoat failure on the headlights already. Try a really mild polish for starters and see where that gets you.

Whatever you end up doing, remember one thing, ALWAYS practice the LEAST aggressive method first. It doesn't matter if you are polishing headlights, or polishing the swirl marks out of your paint. Always take the least aggressive route in achieving the desired results. If a finishing polish doesn't produce the results you seek, try a polish with more cut, and if that fails, try an aggressive compound.

Going straight to sand paper is a no-no in my book (unless there are obvious signs that a polish or compound won't cut it) because once you've sanded them down, there's no going back. And do yourself and your arms and shoulders a favor and buy a buffer... it is such a joy to polish with a machine as opposed to fatiguing yourself doing it by hand. Plus with a machine you will reach results that are never attainable by hand.

I meant to say 2000, typo, I'll fix it. Yeah 1000 is only if the lights look really bad and 1500 is not cutting it.
