Touch-up chrome rims using spray can?

Default Touch-up chrome rims using spray can?
Question. I am looking at purchasing some used chrome rims that have a bit of curb rash to them. Would sanding off the rash then taping and spraying be of any cosmetic benefit? I have watched the Youtube videos online and my interest is piqued. Since it is such a small area around the lip, would it look okay?

Just the rash portion of the lip, not the whole wheel. Almost like using touch up paint.

spray chrome is terrible... doesn't even look good on chromed plastic...

That spray chrome is only good for inside portion of wheel to make it look new again. Like on stock silver or chrome wheels.
