Best cleaner for black scuff marks on gold (parchment) threshold
What's the best cleaner for black scuff marks on gold (parchment) threshold? Elbow grease isn't getting it done Iloved the light interior but now may be paying the price. My black high heeled shoes are killing the threshold Any suggestions appreciated. Dorothy

What I did.
I do not know if this is a real solution for you, but here is what I did in my EE350. I have a 2008 Maroon Ultra. One day, I noticed a small grease mark on my passenger seat. I did not touch it for months, because I was afraid that it would just become a baddly smugged. Finally, though, I just had to try something. I got a bottle of Meguiar's One Step Leather care to try and clean it up. (Very scared of the potential result) I put a Very small of this cleaner on a soft cloth (Old T- Shirt) and Gently rubbed the stain. WOW, it came right up and you could not see where it had been for all of those months. Can't guarentee that you will get the same result, but it may be woth trying. Jus do it on a small out of the way spot first. Good Luck!!!!!

I have used a foam cleaner called Tuff-Stuff for such cleaning for over 20 years with good results. Rarely do I find anything that it won't take off without damage. Be very careful with cleaners on your parchment Lexus interior trim. Much of it is painted rather than being colored the whole way through the part and you can pretty easily remove the paint. The good news is your dealer probably has a service that can refinish the trim part very well. And if you are lucky they won't even charge you.
I stopped by service one day with a mark the Tuff-Stuff wouldn't take off and the service advisor said he could get it off and promptly wiped off the paint with whatever he used. There interior man was there right then and they had it repaired in a short time and I never could see the repair.

Goo-Gone & 409 have been my go-to products for removing scuffs as neither will attack the paint/plastic. Always try any solvent-type product on an out-of-the-way area first to see what happens.
Toyota & Ford have been painting interior plastic pieces for years. Ford's paint is totally weak & comes off with a slight bit of rubbing. I don't know about Toyota's durability. Ford did sell spray cans of touch-up paint for the interiors--nice of them.
