Is there a DIY video for cleaning a Lexus IS350? What needs to covered? Where the sensitive areas are under the hood? Don't want to spray or wet the sensitive areas.
And what are the steps to cleaning and detailing the engine bay?? Do you use steam? Or use a degreaser spray and then hose down?
It's not so dirty that it's full of crud, but just want to bring it back to respectable like new clean.
Thanks.

Make sure to do it on a cold/cooled down engine.
I just use some plastic bags to cover the alternator and battery as extra safety. If you have an f-sport intake or an open element intake, might wanna cover that.
Hose down with some water. spray down the engine bay with a 10:1 mixture of meg's APC+ . Let it dwell for a bit and scrub with an ez detail brush. Hose down again with water. I usually use an electric leafblower to dry the engine bay. Then towel off anything the leafblower couldn't get.
Then i usually dress the plastic/rubber with 303 aerospace. It's easier to do than you think.

about the back to black. never used it but from what i understand it removes residue such as wax buildup then adds a layer of protection. 303 aerospace doesn't have any cleaning agents but is a water based dressing with spf40. it's pretty matte. you can layer and make it satin. I like the matte shine of 303.
