ahhh, this thread (along with the shiny, clean, beautiful es300 i saw the other nite) makes me want to go wash my car right now. i usually wash my car every 2 weeks in my driveway. i think my neighbors think im crazy, but they dont have a lexus so they dont know about dedication. its been way too cold to do anything and i havent washed my car in about 3 weeks now plus it needs a new coat of wax. i usually wax it every two washes. i just got some chrome polish, cant wait to use that either.

for a deep thorough wash, in my driveway, or maybe at a self wash, but now that summer is coming around, I let the girls in bikinis wash my car. EHEHEHEHEHEHEh which is every weekend LOL

Or I let the kids who are raising money wash my car and I ll donate some money.

Drive through car wash is a joke,

I always wash my car outside, I don't like to wash it inside the house.

Thumbs up

I have always washed my own cars at home. No dealers, no detailers Only myself. The old addage has been and will always be" If you want it done right, do it yourself".

Stopped using car wash and now wash it myself! Sunce I've been washing it myself I notice all these imperfections and "Parking lot disrespect" marks!!!

I washed my car for the very first time. As for waxing, I finally figured out what "buffing" and "polishing" means. lol. I will post pictures later this week.

I finally perfected the two-bucket car wash method at the local self-service wash bay and I only use the foaming brush on my tires now. Before, I used it for the whole car and I still have tons of small scratches left over that needed to be buffed out.

They do a pretty good job, it's a brushless car wash... Just drive it in, the guy presses the button and all that water goes down.. Then he washes by hand with one of those mit things.. Then water comes down.. Then he goes for the wheels.. Then water comes down.. They say there's some kinda wax in there too, not sure. At this point I'm in the waiting room watching TV or using the internet.. Then when the guy is done, he drives it up to the door and voila I drive off. He doesn't even have to dry it, it's spotless dry! wheeeeeeee gotta love free stuff.
why, isn't ours weekly also if we wanted to???

www.griotsgarage.com Great Product and decent prices when you buy in Bulk. My car is always washed by hand or a "touch-free" automatic wash. I always clean the wheel wells, rims. I have to agree with lkirchner, if you want it done right, do it yourself.
