I live in a condo, park in a common garage, no water, no wash bay, so I go to my marina and wash it in the parking lot there. Problem is the marina is 80 miles from home...in the summer I carry a wash kit in the trunk and wash it at friends' houses

I await precious waters to fall from the sky.

Maybe if I feel like, when I go the gas station, I wash my front windows so I can see out of them.

At home, by myself. I like Eagle 1 products, a lil more expensive but worth it to me.

That is a disgrace Ethan. I hope you don't have trash stacked up on the floor.

I actually wash my car at my parents' house, because my husband and I live in an apartment complex and there isn't really any good place to do it.

I'll drive it through an automatic car wash occasionally, for a quick clean, but usually I prefer to do it by hand. Much better results.

Daddy, what do you suggest in terms of washing car?
I have a black car so I have to be more careful.
I never take it to automatic washes, Ive heard bad things.
I do take it into the stall and use the brushes alot....that may not be real good to do??
Otherwise at home Ill just use a sponge, I dont thnk that will scratch the car.
I think I might stay away from using the chamois too...I seem to scratch car that way and my Cali blade is old so I just wash it and let it sit.

I like to wash it myself. That way I know if any of the body has by touched or damaged by careless people. I can then do a quick fix on the damage (ie door ding, scuff paint etc.). The other place I wash it at is the the dealer (after service)

How would any of you clean under the hood? I every now and then take a rag and wipe out the dirtty areas, but how do you make it look "as good as new".?

i usually get my car hand washed at alhambra car wash (not thru the conveyor)...they do a pretty thourough job. then i drive home, and apply zaino in my apartment's indoor parking lot...i would wash my own car thou if i had a driveway and a hose...

Default hand wash

I always hand wash. Sometimes only every 2 weeks in the winter, but try to get to it every week. I dont like other people man handling my baby.

Lots of you dont have hoses, drive ways, or garages How do you servive? I could not stand parking my car in my drive way let alone the street, and not being able to wash my own car I would go crazy.

I only do mine by hand and am pretty religious about doing it at least once a week. I normally spot wax a few panels on a rotating basis whenever I wash and also repair any new damage as soon as I see it. I washed it (only) today in my driveway at 37 degrees. I was cold when I finished but the look she gave me made it all worth it.

Self-serve high pressure water and hand wash/no spots from hard water....rush home for few coats of wax
