Question aged yellowing/cloudy headlight lenses

Hey
The headlight lenses on my mom's 93 GS300 are yellowing and getting cloudy from age, and they look really awful.
Any tips on cleaning to remove the stuff?
Thanks

Use plastic polish or car polish. Anything harsher (like rubbing compound) may scratch the plastic.

Meguiar's offers a 2-step process. I've had great luck
using only Meg's #10 without #17. See below.

These products are available at many auto stores.

Meguiar's #10 Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Polish
The finishing touch for maximum clarity and brilliance. Meguiar’s Plastic Polish provides the second step in our two-step restoration process for clear plastics. One easy application protects surfaces previously cleaned with #17 Plastic Cleaner. You will reveal the materials natural brilliance, while leaving behind an anti-static coating that helps repel damaging dust and dirt.

Meguiar's #17 Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Cleaner
Safely removes hairline scratches, dirt and grime. Clear plastic that has lost its clarity due to significant contamination and fine scratches should be treated using our two-step process. Meguiar’s non-abrasive, alcohol-free Plastic Cleaner aggressively cleans and removes scratches without harming the surface. Follow up Meguiar's #10 Plastic Polish for a perfect finish.

buy 2000 grit sand paper and soak it in soapy water for 2 minutes. they wet your headlights with that water and sand each headlights for a good 5 minutes. itshould become grey and cloudy. next get rubbing compound and buff it all out. good as new.

Default Isnt that discoloring on the inside of the housing?

Isnt that discoloring on the inside of the housing? you guys are talking about sanding and buffing the outside right? I have one housing that is yellowing, i thought it was on the inside. I tried a couple methods to clean the inside, that didnt work. maybe its on the outside.

the yellowing is due to sitting in the sun. It is indeed on the outside. My headlights use to be as yellow as big bird. but now is white as a dove.

Actually the plastic cleaners for pinball machines do a great job. There are three bottles for different coarsenesses.
