Default Muffler discolouring.

Muffler discolouration (undercoating peeling)?

From the rear of my IS250 -- you can see behind the exhaust tips, the discolouration of my muffler cans, is there anything I can do to buff it to make it look nice and new again when looking at it from the rear?

I know the exhaust tips need a good polishing, but I am talking about the cans behind the tips (I think the pictures speak from themselves).

Most of that can be removed with a quality metal polish and 0000 grade steel wool

Yep, for the tip I know. I was referring to the undercoating peeling off (the 'tanned' part of the picture).

Oh, the part that looks like rust to me? Hrmm, not knowing much about the OEM muffler of an IS, is that part painted or is that soot/discoloring on top of the chrome?

Any recommendations that I can use where I can pick up at my local auto store?

Any high temp paint from your local auto store should work, same stuff people use to paint their brake calipers. Make sure you remove the rust on your muffler before painting.
