Default Detailing Question

Hey fellas,

Hope you guys can share some insight on this. For the longest time, whenever I do a full detail on my cars I have used the following in order:

3m finesse
3m hand glaze
mothers wax

My cars always have a great shine to them, because I am very ****, and wash them once a week. My question is this. I have have done research on Zaino, and some people seem to rave about it and some arent too crazy about it. Whats the general consensous here? Will I get a better shine by using their products??

Any feedback will be appreciated

I have two cars - my 2003 Acura TL - S and the wifes 2000 Toyota Avalon.

I used Zaino on both for the first time in late August this year.

I take good care of my cars and have used a number different products over the years. Zaino is - by far - the best that I have used to this point. It ain't cheap, but worth every penny.

Hope this helps.

It requires a bit more patience because it's an air- cure polymer (unless you buy the ZFX flash- cure accelerator) and not a solvent flash wax like a Carnauba wax which is basically on / off. But the fact it can withstand higher sun load temps ( 392 degrees vs. 165 for wax) and the fact you can "layer" it to increase shine is attractive to some. It also outlasts carnaubas, as do most polymers, but if you are the type to wax often, that's not a factor. Some folks say the shine is not as deep as a carnauba, yet more reflective. I have over 100 layers of it on one of my cars, and it works for me, from the responses I get at car shows. Cheers.

I really like Zaino, but it is a PITA without the ZFX.

I agree to get the ZFX if you're gonna do Zaino, it makes things much easier. I've been using Zaino this year and it looks good, but I think I'm gonna try something more like what you've been doing next year. I've still got too much of the fine swirls that you can only see when the light hits them, hoping I can do more for them by spending some serious time with the glaze and that type of thing then some S100. See how that compares to the Zaino.
