Default Sonax Extreme wax 1

I picked up a small tin of Sonax extreme wax 1. I have never heard of the brand but because it was on special I might as well try it out.

Anyone has experience with this wax? Its made in Germany and the marketing on the tin sounds pretty good.

Does it darken the paint and importantly does it last long?

I think Phil at Detailers Domain said it's coming out soon. I swear by their wheel cleaner. Their nanotechnology paint cleaner and wax are pretty awesome too. Perfect for soft Lexus paint. So I'm sure Extreme Wax won't disappoint.

Just tried it on my dark grey Honda Accord Euro (Acura TSX). You apply a very thin layer and its real easy to remove.

BUT
The problem is that the weather has been cold and dry in Sydney and when removing the wax it leaves a very fine white dust behind.

Now I'm not sure if its the wax or the microfibre towels but I notice that when removing the wax it cause the body of the car to become electrically charge. So the car body becomes a dust magnet. So the white dust, dog hair any anything that is airborne gets attracted to the paint.

Having the dark colour car does not help!!

Maybe its just the weather. The wax repels water very well.

I need to monitor how long the wax last as a daily driver.

try wiping it down with a synthetic QD,, 15 or 20 min. after you remove the wax. and are your MF towels brand new?? always wash them before first use.

I use about a dozen microfibre towels and yes 1/2 were new towels. So this could be the cause of the static

There are products which neutralize the static supposedly. Some that spring into mind are FK425 and Optimum Instant Detailer

The wax is holding up well. Its been 3.5 weeks since I applied 1 thin coat on my Honda Accord Euro. After 3 washes and 4 days of rain on and off this is what the wax looks like on the car. Still beading well.

The Honda is parked outside during the week days.
