Lexus Leather Cleaner
#3
My first Lexus started developing tiny cracks on the driver's seat. Cracks just a little larger than microscopic. I took the car in to seek remediation. My service advisor said the regional service manager was due for a visit and he would decide what to do. The regional manager was a little reluctant until I pulled the Lexus branded bottles out of the back seat and indicated I had used them routinely since buying the car. I also stated perhaps the one product was defective as the bottle had a spray nozzle, but it it wouldn't spray the thick fluid as a mist. They placed some phone calls, verified the product was okay and ordered new leather for the seat.
I still use the products on my current car after cleaning the seats with Woollite. I agree with eyezack, they make the seats a little slick. I get in and out of the car quite a few times a day and find this beneficial. Perhaps reducing wear. My leather is parchment colored and the Lexus branded product does not alter the color and the leather stays soft.
Originally way overpriced, the price has been reduced.
(Of course it's entirely possible they would have replaced the leather if I had been using another product.)
