Default help

First i know i,m a moron.I was driving the other day and something sticky from the roadway kicked up on to my drivers side door.I took my rx to carwash and not all of it came off.So i got a sponge and rubbed the door until the the stuff came off.I did it in dim light and did not realize i was taking off some clear coat are paint until i saw rx next day in sunlight.I have attached some pictures for you to see. What do you think would be the best way to fix this spot on door?

Try restoring it with oxidation removal. You should of clayed it to remove it...don't know if you can do anything about it.

Run down to Walmart or an auto parts store and buy some Meguiars Ultimate Compound, ScratchX or similar polish, a couple foam polishing pads and polish the marring away. Don't work the polish until the polish dries and remove the spent polish with a couple clean microfiber or cotton towels. Re-wax and you should be relative good. Much of the marring should be eliminated but it appears that you are missing some paint on the door edge. Might want to touch-up that edge?
