Lexus peridot mica touch up paint does not appear to match
Found a 1 1/2 inch scratch on my 2010 ES350's rear passenger door. The color of my car is Peridot mica so I ordered from my local dealership. After applying 2 light coats it appears the color match is off, the paint color looks lighter than the car's color. I shook the bottle one minute as per instructions and applied 2 light coats into the crack with the pen as instructed but it looks off.
Now I'm wondering if the 6V6 paint may have been a bad batch.
Any suggestions on how I can correct this problem? Thanks for your help

I usually take a bit of paint thinner to see if it is capable of removing a bit of it. If it doesn't in that one test spot, then I just polish it off and start new. You have to remember that over time, the sun and other elements begin to fade the paint. That and the touch up pen is pretty much base coat, not much clear coat in it (if it even has it at all!)
