Fish.....
So my amazing mother in law made salmon, wrapped it in tinfoil atop a metal baking sheet, and put it in a cardboard box for me to take home.
I am unbelievably overprotective of my car.. as in the kids in the back take their shoes off. However, the salmon still leaked oils (good oils, but smelly nonetheless) through the cardboard box and into the seat.
I wiped it as soon as I could, took the back seat out of the car to air out, but it still smells! I believe the oil/grease soaked into the foam padding. Any thoughts on what I could do to alleviate this? New rear bench seat?

Might pay to remove the seat & then take the cover off. You can then treat the fabric cover & the foam cushions.
Worst case borrow a set of hog-ring pliers & a few rings to reinstall the cover.
Buddy was married more than a few years ago ('84).
We tied some cod fillets to the convertor.
Everything was just cool & romantic until about an hour down the road.
We all still laugh about it, she not as much!
