Nice write up. I just ordered my Griot's Polisher from Autogeek. I'm doing paint correction this weekend. So, do your recommend this method over claying? By the way love the CV2's.

There really no alternative for claying. So if you havent clayed, do it. Its well worth the extra effort. I also would use ironx.

If you are going to be polishing, clay is always a good idea... IronX never hurts either

The idea is to remove the contaminates from the surface of the paint before you begin to polish, therefore you reduce/eliminate the risk of picking up some sort of debris on your buffing pad and leaving behind buffer damage like this....
