Default Detailing and Removing minor scratches

I love love love my 2008 ES 350. It is the metallic burgundy color which is so luscious...but it does show scratches like crazy.

What is your best advice for removing surface scratches...and the pits on the front hood. Ideally I'd like to see if I can fix them somewhat, (if possible) then perhaps one of the clear cover things I've read about?

How can I fix and protect my baby??

My ES350 is black - - so I feel your pain !

I wash it well . . .then use a clay bar with Meguiars spray detailer . . . Turtle wax scratch remover - - it's less abrasive than Dupont white enamel polishing compound - - then restore with wax.

Removing swirls is all about process, no product will do it for you, you need the skill, the tools, and then the product.

If you're looking for a real correction, I would recommend having the car professionally polished out and then start from there.

Take it to a reputable detailer and have them do a full paint correction and then have them apply a perminatr coating like Opti-coat or a semi perminate sealant or coating like 22PLE pro. Which I have. Unless you wan to invest into doing it yourself. Which can be costly. After the paint has been corrected. You need to learn the correct ways to care for the paint.
