X-Pel
Hi there,
Just wondering if $200 including repainting the hood plus X-pel material and installation is considered a good price. Which bodyshop would you guys recommend in OC or LA area? Thank you.

The price depends on what is being installed. Are you just getting the hood done? There are Xpel pieces for the bumper, headlings, fog lights, side mirrors. The bumper kit alone on the Xpel site is $269.
Some of the Xpel installers actually have the templates and a cutting machine on-site so they won't even need to get the "kits".
Still, $200 for hood repaint, Xpel & install is a killer price. For comparison, the hood "kit" (which includes the side mirrors) costs $159 on the Xpel site. Even if you can say get this price down to $100, it is still only $100 for hood repaint and Xpel install.
I say go for it.

I don't see how you can get even the hood alone painted for $200, but if you trust them go for it. I have not heard of anyone doing the Xpel hood install, plus the cost of material for less than $150. Are you sure this quote is right ?
I went to a high end Porsche/Mercedes shop to quote my hood, bumper and blend over to the fenders.
They wanted like $3000 ! I guess that was a polite way to tell me that he didn't want my business !
