ONR/ clay lube dilution and fine grade Opti eraser worked great for me. No marring or scratches of any kind.

If you haven't clay barred the car, i recommend using the nanoskin auto scrub on a PC or other machine. Cut the time by more than a half!

Damn dude, long time no see.

So the nanoskin is the clay bar built into the pad? So all you need is the Quik Detailer? Sounds interesting.

Prep to the towel for use and decrease chances of marring by using it on glass first (2-3 cars should be good), then use it on your paint. Good for 80+ uses, quicker and faster than clay and you can even drop the towel and NOT have to throw it away. It's the new claying system basically.

End thread.

It is my personal opinion that you should only use these 'clay alternatives' if you intend on polishing afterwards. The chances of marring are greatly increased with these clay substitutes, however the times savings is VERY much worth it.

The marring tends to be very light, therefore it will not add any time to your polishing process.

Yeah, lurking here and there.

Yes, that is the down side of using the nanoskin autoscrub. I only clay once or twice a year with polishing so I guess this way works for me.

this is a great clay bar set up the Uber Yellow Poly Clay - 240 grams - 8 oz

if you don't like to clay the NanoSkin AutoScrub Fine Grade Pad is great for use on the orbital polisher or the NanoSkin Fine Grade Wash Mitt

I would agree the clay lube is essential. I have found some soaps will degrade the clay bars a bit quicker.

I ended up getting this done at the dealership and I have to say that it was quite a decent job. I mean a few cleaner stains on the engine bay area, some clay residual near the bottom of the spoiler but overall decent because I had some tree sap on the car that wouldn't come off probably because I used to run my car through the automatic wash every other week and not wipe it down but no more Sapp!

Reason I decided to go with the dealer is because I looked around and couldn't find a trustable or reputable shop to take my car to. All shops had horror stories of doing this and that..

However, I'm wondering if I should go get the car waxed again because maybe they didn't do such a good job? Looks good to me but why not wax again just in case?
