For best results, wet sand w/ 800, prime and let dry. Wet sand primer with 800 again. Tack and paint w/ LITE coats. Make sure if you paint in your garage to wet the garage floor with a hose to keep the dust down. Clear after base, let dry and wet sand clear w/ 1000. Finish w/ a high speed buffer and 3M compound and glaze. Done and done ;-D

Aftermarket skirts? What are they made of? I just did quite a bit of bumper cover repair, and all of my research called for adhesion promoter, then plastic part primer. I used SEM flexible part primer, $16/can. It is a pretty good, sandable build primer. Bit of a bummer though when you think you're done, then see more chips that need glazing compound, and realize you have to pony up another $16.
The bulldog adhesion promoter is about $18/can, but it goes a long way.

not trying to be a D!#$ but if you can afford a lexus you should get them professionally painted. Unless you really know what you are doing a rattle can job on a lexus is just a no no (Imho).

right?! you guys hold the value of these cars waaaayyyy to high just cause it has a lexus emblem on it. The car is worth $4,000 kbb? not that much. rest assured though, the rattle can job will look nice. i wouldnt do a shoddy job on it, trust me. I understand quality, even though some dont think rattle can is "quality" it will look nice, trust.
