Looks great, Phil!

Loving these new BMWs.

I see you guys aren't bothered by the recent Sonax Perfect Finish "Durable Fillers Scare"... ie the filling components in the polish may interfere with the coating and cause decreased performance/durability.

I actually had a question about doing both a clear bra and protection coating. Do you put the xpel ultimate film on first, and then put the opti-coat on top of it or vice-versa? If you put the film on first, would the coating on top of the film make the car look different than the other parts of the car that don't have film? In other words, wouldn't the rest of the car look more glossy than the filmed hood? Is there a cure time between the application of both?

we will paint correct the car and prep it for xpel, with clear film we will not coat the paint before laying the clear film down, honestly it doesn't make much sense and to be sure we would have to wait 7 days before we lay the film on it. with the lubricant that our installers use it will wash the coating away. in the case of the xpel ultimate since its got seal healing abilities I would prefer not to opti coat the xpel.

Thanks - so as far as the film looking different than the opti-coated parts of the car - is there really no difference in the appearance?

if you have a good eye you should be able to detect it but honestly the xpel and venture look really good I would say less than 5% of my customers notice its on the car.
