Purchased my 2010 IS250 recently and stumbled upon this great forum. Ive read through the detailing guide but I am curious as to what cloth is best to use on the interior.

Specifically the dash, do most people use a MF towel there? Or is it best to use something different?

Any all purpose microfiber towel would be just fine for interior use.

I use 100% cotton on my interior details but many have success with MF toweling. I have worked on more than one vehicle where the owner was too aggressive with a microfiber on the dash and burnished the surface to a blotchy shine.

i use a quality plush MF towel, with 1 or 2 squirts of diluted OOC just to dampen the towel and minimize inflicting those inevitable scratches on the wood finish. i do the same with the dash... but i wipe gingerly i don't rub.
