Default Glue Residue from Door Edge Trim

I had clear rubber door edge trim on my car for about a year and finally decided to take them out. I pulled the trim off and there is sticky residue along the door edges.

I pulled out my Goof Off and was walking towards the car then decided to hold off and ask the question before I ruin the paint on my car. The residue has hardened.

What is the best solution?

I was also going to recommend the 3M Adhesive Remover... It works very well.

Thanks. I'll give it a try this weekend. Hopefully it'll be a hot day.
