Default Minor holograms and spider webbing black LS400

Hey guys, I have minor holograms and spider webbing in my oem black onyx paint. Picked upa DA polisher, checmical guys 8 hex logic pads, and M205.

Wondering which pad I should start with, was thinking green?

After its all polished out nicely, I plan on layering on Klasse glaze by hand.

Any other suggestions?

I'm not familiar with the CG pad colors, but if they are just light holograms they should come out rather easily. I would start with a finishing pad and see what you get. If that does not produce your desired results, step up to a polishing pad and test another spot until you can produce the results you are after.

You can apply Klasse by machine, too... it will be much quicker!

to machine apply the klasse glaze, i would use a soft finishing pad (CGs is black ibelieve) and just work the product in as normal? That is, apply it very slowly then buff out witha higher speed?

To apply a glaze, sealant, or wax via machine is very quick and easy.

Simply use a very soft (no cut) finishing pad, apply a small amount of product to the pad, then spread it on the surface with slow machine speed and little to no pressure. You are just spreading it around. Then turn the machine off and wipe the product away with a clean microfiber towel.

detailing kit almsot complete:

got a vac n blo mini vacuum in the big case.
big case is body and interior stuff, two bags are for polishing, adn the one bag is all wheel stuff.
not in the picture, 2 buffing cones, 4 buckets 1 for wheels 2 for body with grit guard, 1 that holds all my MF, as well as 2 cobra guzzlers.
Still want to add a foam lance.

Next week i will 2 bucket wash it with dawn dish soap, Clay it-then start polishing! Will also polish my headlights and the barells of my wheels as regular alum polish with power cone inst enough, need to to sand them.

my plan of attack to correct the minor imperfection in my paint are:

Wash with Dawn dish soap
Clay bar
M205 on white or green pad, followed up with 205 on a black pad.
IPA wipe down
Klasse AIO (can i machine apply this? how much do i put on the black pad?)
few layers of klasse Glaze
gold class wax.

As for wheels: wash, clay, polish lips with sandpaper, klasse AIO, spray wax to get into the crevices, then paste wax on the lips and face.
However i have tiny hairline scratches in the chrome face, the chrome polish isnt abrasive enough. Thinking maybe some M205 with a yellow pad?

any suggestions or comments to this method?

Also I have been reading megs gold class still has some cleaning properties which are counterproductive with klasse glaze. Is this true?

What is a good topper for the glaze?

Here are my comments...

-Dawn is for Dishes, not your car Use an appropriate automotive shampoo.

-I don't see the need for Klasse AIO since you are polishing with Meguiar's M205 and then applying the Klasse Glaze (which is really a sealant) afterwards. It seems like your process is redundant. You could consider either try to correct the light surface defects with KAIO and if it produces the results you are seeking, then you are done since it also leaves a layer of protection... or you could use M205 and then top with a dedicated sealant or wax. This brings to mind a popular saying "work smarter, not harder". I don't think you would see any benefit from all of the steps in the order you have them listed, so why spend the time doing it.

- I'm also not sure you're going to see much benefit from using M205 twice, be sure to properly analyze your test spots to determine if you need to do 2 polishing steps. Here is an article I wrote on analyzing your test spot:

- Wax would be optional after either of the Klasse Products since they both contain a sealant.

You are fine using any wax on top of the Klasse Glaze/Sealant

Thanks Zach. My though for using the dawn was to strip any wax and previous glaze I had on it before.

Another gentleman suggested just doa few coats of klasse glaze and be done with it.
During regular washings, should i just wash, and dry with a QD, and thats it?

There are plenty of automotive shampoos that can help strip existing protection from paint. Examples: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Clear.

I would recommend polishing to actually remove the defects rather than just cover them up temporarily with a few coats of filler product... but to each his own I guess. That is why I stay in business
