Flektone - this repair kit is permanent. It will not and does not wash off.

Dave - Did you stay with a basic color or something more complex? If it was basic, Im curious to know how much did your paint job with clear cost you?

The other guys - I bought it used so I certainly wouldn't doubt a crappy respay, Still....regardless of the cause, the true point of my posting is to reflect that this product works and very well at that.

I tried Dr. ColorChip over the weekend on our '08 RX350. Worked pretty well on small chips. As said above deep/larger chips not so good. I will try again next weekend. Overall, happy with the results and think it is worth the cost.

Question -- I have an OEM paint pen for our '06 ES330. Do you think I could use the Dr. ColorChip technique using the glove to smear the paint and then the pink sealer to wipe off smeared paint?

Pushkins - I really couldn't say. The concept sounds simple enough but the actual science behind the two products may be completely different. By that I mean, the composition of the DCC touch up paint may be formulated to work the way it does with the sealer. Emphasis on "may" here because I do not know if this is the case.

You can't use the paint in a touch up pen it's too thin.

Thank you for writing this up with your results. I had been on the fence regarding Dr. ColorChip and I'm now planning to order soon.

Just used Dr. Color Chip for several chips on the front end of my RX350. I have the Golden Almond Metallic color. I am very pleased with how it turned out. It is very easy to use. I highly recommend this.
