I love the D300 Really easy to work with.I probably overload the pad, so I have to clean it all the time…but use compressed air so it fluffs right back up.

My car is never really in bad shape paint wise..more of ongoing maintenance and a once a year polish..

When using the MF pads, they should be cleaned after every section (note: section, not panel)... so you weren't doing anything wrong... it is just the nature of working with MF pads.

If this was simply a routine maintenance polishing, D300 and a MF cutting pad was way overkill... you should've simply used the D301 or other fine finishing polish to amp up the gloss if no real correction was needed.

Remember the golden rule of detailing: "Always use the least aggressive method"

Using a 2 step compound/polish for routine work on an annual basis is removing more paint than is necessary and therefore could result in less life out of your paint job. If you maintain a fairly swirl free paint, simply use something like M205 on a black pad each year to keep it perfect.

Car looks good though
